With 25 years in the hair industry, Sheli understands the meaning of excellent service. Her strong work ethic and education along with her experience has brought the Strand at Chevy Chase to where it is today — a successful and innovative salon. As a color specialist and former educator, she knows how important continued education is. She brings this knowledge to her salon with confidence and a smile.
Anthony “Tony” Centers
Tony has 25 years of experience and is a true Southern gentleman. His innovative approach and broad range of experience has led him to many opportunities including working on ABC’s Emmy Award winning soap “One Life to Live” in New York City. For Tony his clientele are an extension of his beloved family.
Tony’s main goal is making his customers happy by giving them a style that is edgy and trendy To do this, he furthers his education by regularly attending shows and style symposiums with Redken and Goldwell as well as other major industries in this market. This allows him to stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques.
Shelby Snowden
Shelby is a third generation hairstylist that has literally been around the business her entire life. In fact, her grandfather owned and operated a barber shop in Lexington for over 45 years. She was born to do hair.
Shelby believes in continuing education to stay at the forefront of her field. She studies new products and services available in order to provide excellent service to her clientele. She specializes in coloring techniques, and her passion is highlighting blondes. Lowlights, color correction, keratin treatments, blowouts and haircuts for men, women and children are also specialties available.
Above all, Shelby listens to her clients. Trust through understanding allows her to suggest options to someone in her chair and ensure they leave the salon with a smile.
Terese Wright
Terese has been a professional stylist for over 20 years. Her humor and attention to client care has left customers rightly saying, “She’s one of a kind.”
She has completed special training in advanced cutting and color techniques at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, MN Her training gives her an extensive knowledge of European color systems and her continuing education allows her to practice new techniques and always stay ahead of trends.
To Terese, the greatest reward is seeing the twinkle in someone’s eye after spending time in her chair.
Margy Larmour Martin
Margy has 17 years in the hair industry. In that time she has mastered a wide range of hair techniques including highlighting, Brazilian blow out and color correction.
She has trained under Toni & Guy in Chicago and with Michael O’Rourke, owner of Sexy Hair Concepts. She has also worked on stage doing platform work with Ariella in New York.
In her free time, Margy likes working out at Pure Barre and is active with functions at her children’s school, church and spending time with her family.
